Analysis of solutions based on wearable devices to support patients with cardiovascular diseases
Considering the objectives of NXCEL of acting as an interlocutor between the region’s scientific community and industry, identifying innovation opportunities and trends and actively participating in applied research and technological development projects, Inova DE GmbH was engaged to do an extensive research on the wearable devices trends to support patients with cardiovascular diseases. Its goal is to undertake a comprehensive analysis of technological and economic developments in the area of cardiology in order to detect new market trends taking into account the innovation opportunities in this area. The report indicates a particularly significant potential in the development of wearable devices hardware and functionalities, with implications for improving the quality of service provided to patients, coupled with the simultaneous reduction of health care costs.
This is the fifth study, out of six, aiming to characterize the opportunities existing in the medical technology field in the Norte region of Portugal.
