Following the identification of the identified need to conduct prospective studies on the trends in medical technologies at regional level, it is now available the second study, this time about innovative applications in CARE. This study is available to be consulted by companies, research entities and public and private innovation stakeholders of the region.
The increase of the life expectancy and the reorganization of the social structure have meant that the elderly population, with an increasing size, needs special care. The potential of the Norte region to develop solutions to improve the well-being and the autonomous and healthy life was the motivation for the present study developed by IncreaseTime for NXCEL.
The results allowed to identify the innumerable solutions that link technological evolution to the well-being and health care of the elderly, from basic and simple tasks to more complex situations. This study also made it possible to understand how the technology could contribute to the caregivers’ approach to the care needs and the preventive detection of health and wellness problems.
In the next couple of weeks, the remaining four studies will be disclosed.
