Creation of NORTEXCEL2020 Association

A new legal entity that will host the new centre of excellence has been formally created in November 2015, with a clear mandate from the regional authorities and aligned with regional smart specialization strategies of promoting innovation in the emergent field of medical technologies. The NORTEXCEl2020 Association was created in the form of a non-for-profit association that has as founding members the Polytechnic of Porto, Inova+ and the teaming partner Joanneum Research.
The goal of NORTEXCEl2020 Association is to conduct services in the area of research and development, technology transfer and training and to carry out studies on business development in different emerging vectors in the area of health and medical technologies. The Association must articulate technical and scientific excellence and the need for development in health area, promoting research and development which envisages solving the problems of the European, national or regional society as well as the participation and leadership in European programmes.

Following an initial installation period, the association is now open to receive demonstrations of interest for the adhesion of new members who intend to participate to this initiative. Demonstrate your interest here
